Interests

Read more about my interests in teaching, research and collaboration.

I am interested in pedagogy, leadership and young athletes' opportunities for participation in their sport. In addition to that, my special interest is equestrian sports.

I have been teaching at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Equine Science Program for about 15 years in courses on pedagogy and leadership for the equine industry.

My PhD project is about young riders' ability to make their voices heard. I am interested in the socio-cultural context that the young riders find themselves in and the conditions that exist for participation. Study one of my PhD project is a survey aimed at young riders. The second study is ethnographic studies at two riding schools containing participant observations and interviews with both young people and leaders.

I am also a participant in the research group Research in Education & Movement Culture, which is an interdisciplinary research group that conducts research in the humanities and social sciences on movement, culture and society.

I am on leave from my employment at SLU and of course I see opportunities for collaboration around the equine science program and also other educations in the equine industry.
