Interests
Read more about my interests in teaching and research.
One of my research interests is biomechanics and motor control, especially the effects of injury prevention training, rehabilitation and other types of exercise on the various biomechanical factors in, for example, skating, running, cycling and disability sports.
My other research interest is in neurophysiology, especially research questions regarding the effects of physical activity with different patterns and intensity levels on human cognitive functions, brain functions and mental health.
I have a particular interest in investigations of cerebrovascular and biochemical mechanisms that are linked to the positive effects of physical activity on healthy brain functions using measurement methods such as fMRI, fNIRS and measurements of BDNF biomarker.
