Interests
Read more about my interests in teaching, research and collaboration.
I mainly teach research methodology and statistics in sports science. In addition, I teach exercise science and physiology with a focus on the ability to generate maximum power, power and speed.
I am particularly interested in the muscle's power-generating properties and how these can change with exercise. Right now, the focus is on how the appearance and architecture of the muscle affects the force-generating ability.
I have worked with physical tests for first responders and how these can predict performance in scenario-based tests. A major interest is to build on these models through the training intervention to improve performance in professionally relevant tasks.
