Interests
Read more about my interests in research.
My PhD project is focusing on physical exercise in stress-related ill health, focusing on exhaustion disorder. The aim is to deepen the understanding of how physical activity and exercise affect individuals with fatigue syndrome and how it can be used as part of their treatment.
Specifically, I study exercise's psychological and physiological effects at different intensity levels in people with fatigue syndrome. I also investigate barriers and facilitators to exercise in individuals with fatigue syndrome and develop a CBT-based exercise intervention adapted for this group.
My research includes experimental and qualitative studies, as well as intervention research. The goal of my PhD project is to contribute to an increased understanding of how exercise can be used to support rehabilitation and promote long-term health for people with exhaustion disorder.
I am part of the research group E-PABS, studying physical activity, sustainability, and brain health.
