Movement and dance.

In my PhD project, I am interested in movement in leisure-time centres, especially from the point of view of gender. In our society, there are clear gender patterns around movement and physical activity that affect people's ability to participate in various movement practices. These patterns are strong from a young age, but also negotiable. I am interested in and how gender is "made" through movement and physical activity in leisure-time centres.

I am also a participant in the research group Research in Education & Movement Culture, which is an interdisciplinary research group that conducts research in the humanities and social sciences on movement, culture and society.
