I work with various research projects that are carried out within the framework of the Swedish Armed Forces' research and technology development group (R&D group) at GIH. In the ongoing projects right now, we are studying how physical and cognitive combat value is affected by challenging exercises and service performance, as well as how physical health, performance and training can affect service-related performance.
During 2024–2026, we will also carry out a major study of the physical and cognitive performance of Home Guard soldiers.
The research is conducted in close collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces, including the Swedish Armed Forces Centre for Medicine (FömedC) and the Swedish Armed Forces' Sports and Wellness Unit (FMIF).
