I teach at GIH in Sport Management, as well as in teacher training courses in sports history and sports in society. Supervises and examines theses at undergraduate and advanced levels.
The research primarily focuses on the field of sports history. The doctoral thesis "På skidor i kulturella gränsland" (2021) is about the Sami history of skiing in Sweden. Since the defense, he has researched, among other things, early modern Swedish ball games.
Between 2023 and 2025, I carried out the project "Längdskidsportens teknikhistoria: Nostalgi och framstegstanke" at KTH. Currently working on the project "Rex ludens: monarki, makt och tennis från Vasa till Bernadotte", funded by The Swedish Research Council for Sport Science.
I write popular science articles, both in daily press essays and in books. Appears occasionally on the radio, especially on Vetenskapsradion historia.
