Interests

Read more about my interests in teaching, research and collaboration.

I teach mainly at the Sport Management program, but also at the Teacher and Coach program in the following areas:

  • Theory
  • Scientific method
  • Ethics in research and sport
  • Sociology of Sport
  • Social sustainability in sport
  • Organization and Leadership in Sport
  • Sport and media

In addition to my teaching at GIH, I lecture in and outside the academic world on themes related to my research area.

My research focuses on sexual abuse and harassment in sports. I also do research on the coach-active relationship with its special power, trust and dependency dynamics.

My doctoral thesis included the first Swedish study on the prevalence of sexual abuse and harassment in Swedish sports. It also included an in-depth study of elite female athletes' experiences of sexual coach-active relationships.

I also do research on the measures taken by sport to promote safe, socially sustainable sport. I investigate the grey areas of sport and the culture of silence that tend to complicate practical measures. By bridging the gap between research, policy and practice, I want to contribute to a safer sport.

I am also a participant in the research group Research in Education & Movement Culture, which is an interdisciplinary research group that conducts research in the humanities and social sciences on movement, culture and society.

Collaborates with the sports movement in Sweden, participates in research collaborations and with other assignments and actors.
