I have a PhD in history and work as a senior lecturer in educational sciences at GIH. I belong to the Department of Movement, Culture and Society and teach mainly in the core subjects of educational sciences.

I have previously worked as a senior lecturer and researcher at the Department of Education at Uppsala University and as a senior lecturer at the Department of History at Uppsala University, as well as a project manager in the media industry and publishing. I have my pedagogical training from Uppsala University and the University of Gothenburg.

My research area is the twentieth century, gender ideals, gender, class, life partner relations, sexuality, health, body, welfare state, everyday life, division of labour, leisure and press history.

My dissertation was about gender ideals in Swedish personals during the period 1890–1980. Since 2020, I have been participating in the research project "Swedish Sexuality Education 1882–2014: Norms of Sexuality in a History of Education Perspective2" at the Department of Child and Youth Studies at Stockholm University.

I am a member of the research group Uppsala Studies of History and Education, SHED, and the National Network for the History of Education and the Research Group for Educational Sports Research.

I am also a participant in the research group Research in Education & Movement Culture, which is an interdisciplinary research group that conducts research in the humanities and social sciences on movement, culture and society.

I lecture and do interviews about my research in a number of media, ranging from Nyhetsmorgon and Morgonstudion on TV, to radio appearances and articles in newspapers.
