Exploration of non-uniform elongation and strain in the Achilles tendon and development of methods to measure this.

Muscle and tendon force transfer and its impact on sports injuries and performance.

The biomechanics of the foot, with a particular focus on internal movement between foot segments and how this is affected by shoes.

Muscle and tendon function in cycling.

Other information

Undergraduate studies in New Zealand. Defended his doctoral thesis at the Sporthochschule in Cologne, Germany with a thesis on asymmetric loading in the Achilles tendon. Was previously a research assistant at GIH in the research group Biomechanics and Motor Control.

I am also employed as Senior Lecturer in Biomechanics and Program Director at the Podiatry Program at Karolinska Institutet.
