My dissertation "A subject for everyone? – Norms and Practice in Physical Education in Primary School 1962–2002" is based on the question of the importance of curricula for actual physical education. From a pedagogical point of view, it has been claimed that curricula have had a limited, if any, influence over daily school work. However, this issue has not been highlighted to any significant extent in the case of physical education.
