Borrow

Everyone who has turned 16 years may borrow from the library, even though you are not a student or member of staff at GIH.

Read more about how to borrow books at GIH's library, how to reserve and renew books, interlibrary loans and material in the stacks.

Students with a reading impairment have the right to borrow their course literature as talking books through the catalogue Legimus. This applies to people with a disability that makes it difficult to read printed text.

Through the GIH Library, you have access to a number of e-books. You can read these on your computer, mobile phone or tablet.

Historical Book CollectionThe world's oldest sports library

The foundation of the GIH library was laid as early as 1813 by Pehr Henrik Ling when he founded GIH's predecessor, Gymnastiska Centralinstitutet, GCI. The library therefore has a large collection of historical literature on GIH's subjects.
