The Master's programme, 120 credits, consists of both compulsory and elective courses, including a master's thesis, worth 30 credits.
Compulsory courses
Within the Master's programme the following courses are compulsory:
- Sports science I, 7,5 credits
- Sport science design and method, 7,5 credits
- Analytical statistics in sport science, 7,5 credits
- Research methods, qualitative data, 7,5 credits
- In depth, project study, 7,5 credits
- Thesis, 30 credits
Elective courses
The remaining 52,5 credits for the Master´s degree should be comprised of elective courses, preferably with professional focus, and on advanced/second cycle level or doctoral/third cycle level, at GIH or other university nationally or internationally.
Elective courses at GIH may vary for each semester and are announced in the course catalogue.
The elective courses should be relevant for sports science, and the three research areas at GIH:
